| In recent years, many top universities in China have launched their internationalizationstrategies. And their English websites play a more and more important role in internationalcooperation. Generally, English news on these websites are produced by translating news onChinese ones.This report is based on the author s own trans-editing practice while working as anassistant translator in the Office of International Cooperation at Tianjin University. Thewhole report is divided into four parts, including task description, translation process, caseanalysis and conclusion. As the most important one, case analysis expounds differentapproaches used when trans-editing the source texts in three aspects. At last, the reportsummarizes trans-editing strategies of news at universities briefly. The report has itsdisadvantages, so further study is encouraged. |
