A Translation Project Report Of Annual Report Of Apple Inc. In 2014 (Item 7)

This translation project report is based on the translation of Annual Report of Apple Inc. in 2014 (Item 7 Management’s Discussion and Analysis of Financial Condition and Results of Operations of) which includes "Overview and Highlights", "Product Performance", "Gross Margin", "Operation Expenses" and etc.. This report makes a simple introduction about the information of the source text and analyzes its linguistic features and text type. Newmark’s translation theory, including text category theory, communicative translation and semantic translation; and related translation methods are used in translation process. The significance of the project lies in providing domestic industry experts and investors with reference basis. This project contains four chapters:Chapter One is the report’s project introduction including project background, significance and report structure; Chapter Two presents research background including a brief introduction to Newmark’s translation theory and the analysis of the source text; Chapter Three analyzes translation difficulties during translation process and translation methods employed; Chapter Four is the conclusion of the experience and lessons of the translation and the problems to be solved.
