Research Report On The Translation Of Terrestrial Animal Health Code (Chapter 4.9-4.12)

With the further development of opening-up to the outside world and the acceleration of globalization, China enjoys an increasing number of opportunities to participate in international trading. In Chinese law system, the laws of terrestrial animal health are not completed. The translation of the Terrestrial Animal Health Code project may be able to provide reference work for our country’s legislation. And this thesis is a translation report on Terrestrial Animal Health Code.The article includes five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction of the translation project. The second chapter is about the preparation of computer-aid translation of legal texts, and the translation strategy. The translation strategy has been determined by reading the parallel texts and anglicizing the text type. In addition, the thesis fully presents the translation process, including the preparation of Term Base and Translation Memory. The third chapter discusses the methods to cope with the problems in the translation process. It also elaborately discusses the defects of machine translation, the name of biological terms. The fourth chapter mainly introduces the proofreading of the translation project. The final chapter comes to a conclusion.The study is mainly based on description and case analysis to probe into the translation process of the Terrestrial Animal Health Code. It is hoped that this report will provide some references to other translators in the computer-aided translation software (SDL Trados2014).
