The research on Chinese locution in teaching Chinese as a foreign language has drawn much attention of the scholars as a new subject. Compared to the various textbooks for comprehensive reading, oral Chinese and listening comprehension, there are not more Chinese locution textbooks, both in terms of kind and quantityThis paper has briefly reviewed the research on Chinese locution teaching, on textbook compilation, on comparison of Chinese and foreign locution and so on in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. By comparing and analyzing the three textbooks A Course of Chinese Colloquial Locutions, A Course of Locution, A Course of Chinese Locution,â…  made a judgment to the textbooks that are being used, referring to The Division on Chinese Syllables, Characters and Vocabulary for Chinese Language Education International.I took a questionnaire to survey the satisfaction to the textbook A Course in Chinese Colloquial Locution. After that I did the statistics and analysis with SPSS 22.0. Then â…  got the specific results to the judgment of the textbook and the factors that influence satisfaction to the textbook from the students. Meanwhile, â…  paid a visit to the teacher who has the experience of 3 years in teaching Chinese locution and in this semester, she teaches the course to 3 classes. â…  got some important ideas from the visit.Finally, I put forward some suggestions to the compilation of locution textbook.1. Using the system of text-unit2. Changing the structure of the contents of the textbook, adopting the auger type3. Increasing text for self-study, meeting the needs of students in different levels4. Designing text content in the style of stories5. Topic selection of the text should be close to the daily life of the foreign students6. Long dialogue and short essays within the same text7. Attaching importance to improve the ability of listening comprehension and speaking8. Based on formal practice, mainly doing skill training, finishing the important work with communicative and task-based practice.9. Designing various and interesting exercises.Heartily I hope my research can play a positive role on the textbook compilation of Chinese locution for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
