Work-related vigor is a new approach in organizational behavior studys. The individuals who have a high level of work-related vigor can become much more energetic, creative, and have better interpersonal relationships. Most of the studies about work-related vigor focus on the employees in the workplace of enterprise, and there are few studies about the work-related vigor of the teachers. This study takes the primary and secondary school teachers as the participants, in order to discuss the performance and characteristic of work-related vigor in the teachers, and its relationships with the other two variables: psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior. The current study consists of three sub-studies. First of all, there are few studies on topic of work-related vigor, but the number of the studies of its opposite, burnout, which shares a similar theory construct, has a body of accumulation. Moreover, there are also many studies in the field of psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior. The researcher uses meta-analysis, synthesizes the existing studies about burnout, psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior, to provide precise evidence about the relationships of work-related vigor and the other workplace variables. The researcher then uses the correlation matrix which produces by the research of meta-analysis, and combines the path analysis, to explore the connection and mechanism between burnout, psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior. It can be found that burnout has a negative correlation with both psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior, while psychological capital has a positive correlation with organizational citizenship behavior, and the psychological capital is a mediating variable of the burnout and organizational citizenship behavior; Secondly, the researcher bases on the vigor theory of Shirom and the current situation of primary and secondary school teacher’s work, to make a scale which can be used in the teachers. The result shows that the scale has three factors, which is same to the Shirom’s theory. The scale also has a good reliability and validity, which means it can be used to describe the performance of work-related vigor of primary and secondary school teachers; At last, the researcher establishes a theory model bases on the result of meta-analysis which regards the psychological capital as the mediating variable, and uses the teachers’ work-related vigor scale revised by the reasearcher, to explore the relationships of work-related vigor, psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior by structural equation model. The index shows that the model fits to the sample data, which proves the model is well-established. This article also talks about the shortcomings of this serial research, and predicts the future direction of the study of work-related vigor.
