The Analysis Of The Application Of Game Teaching Method In The Initial Chineses Vocabulary Teaching

Vocabulary teaching is an important content for the teaching Chinese as a second language. In the process of teaching Chinese in Thailand, the Chinese teachers may encounter the issues in both contents and methods of teaching vocabulary. This dissertation, on the base of teaching practice, confirms the game teaching method effectiveness to the vocabulary teaching. Aiming at the strengths and weaknesses of the method, the dissertation concludes effective solution strategies on the base of practice.First of all, through study methods like classroom observation, examination, questionnaire and experiment, this dissertation, with the application of statistics, objectively analyzed the game teaching method effect in the initial vocabulary teaching stage. During the process of carrying out four months teaching practice in Thailand, two classes of grade eight were selected for teaching experiment. The control class used regular teaching method, while the experimental class applied the game teaching method. After a period of vocabulary teaching, the two classes took an exam. The questionnaire was also conducted in the experimental class. After a semester, this dissertation, by means of using the grade of the two classes and the objective analysis of questionnaire, analyzed the effectiveness of game teaching method in the initial vocabulary teaching stage.Second, on the basis of teaching practice and other Chinese teacher’s success and fail game teaching experience, this dissertation rethought and concluded the design and operation of game teaching method.Finally, the game teaching method in the process of teaching practice could be gradually improved, taking advantage of constructive suggestions for the application of the vocabulary game design for other teachers from this dissertation.
