An interview is a language activity in which the speaker expresses his or her life experiences and professional knowledge in a natural and specific language atmosphere.Accordingly,in an interview interpreting event,the requirements for the interpreter is to make the reproduction of both the professional knowledge and the life experiences and emotions rendered by the speaker with high accuracy.The activity this time was the fruit of the cooperation between DKU and Kunshan Fencing Association.Zhong Man,a gold medalist of 2008 Olympic Games was invited to give a interview entitled "the Art of Fencing".The author,as the intern of the director of DKU Athletics Department,was responsible for the interpreting task.Under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory,this thesis takes the interpreting practice as example,analyses expression flaws that occurred during the interpreting process as redundancy and over-colloquialism from the principles of explicit expression,deverbalization and speech with eloquence.And the idea is supported with correction strategies.Meanwhile,the report also cites successful interpreting examples to put forward some strategies to achieve better expression,such as being a good public speaker and the standardization of expression in target language,and interpreting skills at the worksite as in-time self-correction,reference of existing information.
