Chinese textbook is the important carrier and basis for foreign students to learn Chinese language as well as an important material source of Chinese teaching. South Korea, which is a close neighboring country of China, has an increasing population of Chinese learners, so choosing good and suitable textbooks is extremely important. During the past one year teaching Chinese in South Korean high school, I found that there existed defect in its Chinese textbooks which were less accurate and appropriate than in domestic ones; and I also found that classroom atmosphere in South Korea is much more active than in domestic classes when I practiced teaching in the College of Arts in GuangxiNormal University so Chinese textbooks in South Korea are written more interesting and practical than domestic ones. In addition, there is no specific textbook made for high school students in South Korea so the importance of the textbook goes without saying. Therefore I think the comparative study of elementary Chinese textbook in China and South Korea has its significance as follows. At second, by comparing elementary Chinese textbooks in China and South Korea, advantages and shining points can also be found in Chinese textbooks in South Korea, which can help enrich the writing of domestic Chinese textbooks. At the same time, it does good to make domestic Chinese textbook much more interesting and useful. At third, by comparing elementary Chinese textbooks in China and South Korea, writing characteristics of Korean elementary Chinese textbooks can be found to provide reliable advice for Chinese experts to write more specific textbooks for teachers and students in South Korea, which can highlight the pertinence and make students feel satisfied.
