Project Report On The Consecutive Interpreting For The 11^th China-ASEAN Expo-Malaysia Business Promotion Conference

This project report makes analysis on a field interpretation work during the 11th China-ASEAN Expo——Malaysia Business Promotion Conference, which focuses on the whole process of real conference interpretation.This interpretation work mainly involves pre-interpretation preparation,site interpretation, after interpretation reflection and analysis as well as case study. In this report, tactics on complex sentences interpretation will be discussed by using of the interpretive theory put forward by SelesKovitch; besides Daniel Gile’s Effort Models will be taken to illustrate how does on-site interpreters keep their mind cool down to overcome pressures including the strong accent of Malaysia English, moreover, positive team cooperation principles on conference consecutive interpretation work will also be discussed in this report.This report records the whole interpretation process through the Malaysia business promotion conference, covering the interpreters’ translation delivery, reaction in interpretation and the controlling ability to all contingencies during the conference. The author hopes that through report, other interpreters can draw some experience from it.
