In all our lives, we have to accept education of three categories, which include cultivation from family, education from school and social exercise. Family education is cultivation from family, whose role could not be replaced by others in one’s life. The education for 3 to 6 years old preschool children should fulfilled by family and kindergarten cooperatively and synchronously. Our children education expert Chen Heqin once said:"Neither family education nor school education could complete preschool education independently, only if they cooperate well can children achieve the best results". Children of this stage are on the critical period in self-confidence and independence development, in which family education ways and cooperative education of family and kindergarten really play a very important part.Currently, there is not too much or detailed research at home and abroad about the influence of family education ways and cooperative education of family and kindergarten on preschool children’s self confidence and independence. In the previous study, few people explores self-confidence associated with independence, also does not have comparison of family education ways with cooperative education of family and kindergarten. Given this, through the forms of questionnaire, interview and cases, this study took samples in five kindergartens in urban and rural areas of FengXian district Shanghai City, and obtained 344 valid samples. We specially analyzed the relations of the way of family education, cooperative education and young children’s self-confidence and independence. Through SPSS21.0 for data statistics and analysis, we found.(1)Parents with high education degree mostly insist on democratic way of education, while single parent families hold more authoritarian education way;parents with low educ ation degree,their children have poor selfconfidence and independence; and young childr en in single-parent families also have bad self-confidence and independence.(2)Small child in the bottom class in a kindergarten have significantly lower confide nce than child in the middle class and in the top class,but there is no significant confiden ce difference between the middle class children and the top class children.Independence of the bottom class children was significantly lower than the top class children, however bottom class and middle class,middle class and top class,the independence score of child ren does not exist significant differences.(3)Preschool children’s confidence and independence was positively associated wit h democratic fraction of parents’ parenting style,while the authoritarian fraction and the s elf-confidence and independence of the children was significantly negative correlated.(4)Preschool children’s confidence and independence can be positively predicted by democratic dimension of parents’ parenting style, while arbitrary dimensions can be a neg ative predictor of children’s self-confidence and independence.(5)Good cooperative education of family and kindergarten can promote the develop ment of children’s self-confidence and independence.Combining the investigation analysis results with the current defects in family education and problems appeared in cultivation process of kindergarten after young children entered into, we suggest enhancing scientific parenting quality, improving family education methods, perfecting ways of cooperative education of home and kindergarten and promoting cooperation ideal of home and kindergarten. This is to form scientific suggestions for preschool children’s self-confidence and independence development.
