On The Translation Strategies For Chinese Political Discourses

Chinese political discourses, including government and conference reports, are very commonly seen texts in translation practice. This dissertation adopts Section I and II of Chapter two from The12th Five-Year Plan of Hainan, involves four chapters, mainly discusses and analyzes some commonly seen yet major problems and difficulties during translation process, and offers solutions. This essay will also provide effective translation strategies, which will be practical to solve those problems, so as to enable high quality translation.Moreover, translation of political discourses should deliver the original meaning precisely and great efforts and more practices are needed to achieve this purpose. The author also points out that qualified translation can be accomplished by learning and summarizing from the experience, and stimulating background knowledge.
