Object: Base on foundation of previous research,By using the Meta-cognition intervention to do theoretical analysis on quit smoking behavior. With the scientific research method to proves the treatment effectiveness of Meta-cognition Intervention. Expand the field of the Meta-cognition intervention, and provides some reference for clinic psychologist and Smoking cessation Counselors. Methods: By using relevant scale, interviews and identified >= 6 subjects, whom are participated Meta-cognition Intervention Technology Association’s quit smoking Group. Take small sample and multiple baseline experimental design method, divide these subject into two groups and every group. studied by same question multiple baseline experimental design in different subjects, meanwhile, studied by different question multiple baseline experimental design in same subject. Using Fagerstrom Test of Nicotine Dependence(FTND) as a tool to assessment subject’s nicotine dependence level(before intervention period & return period), Using subject’s daily smoking amount and smoking amount under different condition as the index of multiple baseline experimental design method, And through the multi baseline chart to analyze the effect of intervention. The whole study need 34 days, including baseline period, intervening period, consolidation period, and stopping intervention period and the 6 subjects are visited 3 months later, understand the keeping condition of intervention’s effect. Results: after intervention all subjects of nicotine were lower than before the intervention decreased scale test scores and daily smoking dependence. 6 subjects of nicotine dependence scale reduction rate(reducing score rates) was more than 80%, and one was already reach to 100%, completely quit smoking. The amount of daily smoking are greatly reduced. Third months and sixth months follow-up time intervention remains stable, and individual subjects have decline trend. Conclusion: Meta-cognition Intervention is effective for quit smoking behavior, and the effect of persistent, not easy to relapse.
