Objective: This study is based on the result which summary from both at home and abroad about mental stress,using Meta-cognition Intervention Method to intervene in 8 students with mental stress problems to test if it is useful for college students.In addition,we try to find the key factors behind the formation mechanism and its subconscious conditioned emotional responses to further explore the mental stress of college students,adjust the coping style and improve their character,effectively preventing its recurrence consequently we can provide effective intervention for college students with mental stress problems.Methods: This study used the Mental Stress Scale of college students to screen the subjects,using the Meta-cognition Intervention Method to psychologically intervene the subjects who meet the criteria.The small sample and multi-baseline research methods were used to compare the change of emotional experience before and after and return visit by the special environment.At the same time,by the change of the study before and after the Mental Stress Scale and the Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)to prove that the Meta-cognition Intervention Method is useful for the college students on the mental stress.Results: The scores of the 8 college students showed that after the intervention,the scores of the College Students' Mental Stress Scale and the Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)decreased significantly,which was lower than the demarcation standard and the multi-baseline chart showed that the scores of the intensity of experience in a typical situational change significantly for the 8 college students.Through the self-evaluation of the participants and the return visits,the subjects were in good physical and mental condition,and there was basically no recurrence.Conclusion:(1)Meta-cognition Intervention Method can effectively solve the problem of college students' excessive mental stress;(2)According to this study,the formation of mental stress is a subconscious conditional emotional response,knowledge and emotions are important for solving excessive mental stress;(3)This method can provide technical guidance for helping college students to face stress correctly and enhance their ability to adjust their minds.
