Objective: In this study,six college students plagued by loneliness problems were selected as study subjects.Using a small sample of multiple baseline research methods to verify the effectiveness of Meta-cognition Intervention Technique in the intervention of loneliness among college students,and in-depth study of the formation of loneliness problems.The psychological mechanism,seizing the key factors,changing student behaviors while improving their personality to effectively prevent their recurrence,and providing an effective intervention method for the problem of loneliness of college students.Methods: This study used the loneliness scale(UCLA)to screen subjects and used Meta-cognition Intervention Technique to perform psychological interventions on subjects who met the criteria.A small sample,multiple baseline design was used to compare the change in target behavior data between the subjects before and after the intervention,and the changes in the scores before and after the loneliness scale(UCLA)and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)to demonstrate the effectiveness of Meta-cognition Intervention Technique in the intervention of loneliness among college students.Results: The scores of six subjects showed that before and after the intervention,scores on the loneliness scale(UCLA)and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)scores decreased significantly,below the demarcation criteria,and multiple baseline charts showed six subjects.The target behavioral indicators have changed significantly.Through the self-assessment results and late return visits,it was found that the physical and mental status and self-perception of the six subjects were well-prepared,and the previous problems were well resolved.In the return visit,the emotional state was stable and there was no recurrence.Conclusion: The problem of loneliness of college students is formed based on the subconsciously conditional emotional response.Meta-cognition Intervention Technique can clearly see the psychological mechanism of the formation of subjects' questions,find out the key subconsciously conditional emotional responses to solve problems,and use clinical relaxation to suggest that the training will be negative.Conditions please replace emotional responses,establish new positive emotional responses,and help subjects develop adaptive behavior patterns.In the process of intervention and treatment,if subjects voluntarily cooperate actively and change their motivations strongly,then the intervention of Meta-cognition Intervention Technique on college students' loneliness is effective.
