| Teenagers in rural single-parent families are a special group, they have more strong needs of parents’ accompany and guide in comparison with their peers. But the parents’ divorce result in adolescent children with only one parent company, and even some children can only live with grandparents, which has brought a great harm to their health and growth. This paper investigated adolescent teenagers’ psychological health problems in rural single-parent families, analyzed its reasons and proposed countermeasures suggestions, helping to resolve psychological health problems as well as promote and expand the depth of the research in psychological problems in some degree.This paper uses questionnaire, literature and interviews, meanwhile applies the “Mental Health Testâ€(MTH) scale acoccording to the “Uneasy Tendency Diagnostic Testâ€, which was made by professor Suzuki Qing. This study randomly selects 83 adolescent teenagers in single-parent families in regard to their psychological health problem from 518 students of 10 middle schools in Hengyang rural area, Hunan province. The results show that:(1) The psychological health level of students in single-parent families is generally lower than that of those in intact families and the adolescent teenagers in single-parent families have existed many psychological health problems, mainly includes: â‘ a serious tendency of loneliness, â‘¡more anxiety, â‘¢the excessive tendency of remorse, higher emotional impulse, frequently â‘£ ⑤physical and psychological harm, â‘¥the general problems of apathy, incorrect values, being disjionted between moral behavior moral behavior and cognition, some of the children appear distorted in personality or even are unable to live a normal life and learn;(2) There is a great harm of the adolescent teenagers’ psychological health problems in single-parent families, mainly displays in: â‘ affect their own development, â‘¡cause burden to families, â‘¢disturb social order, even some of the children are on the path of crime.We analyzed the main reasons of these problems from family, society, school and teenagers themselves, the results show that:(1) The single-parent who is abnormal would have a distorted family education, which would lead to the adolescent teenagers in single-parent families more vulnerable to the parents and tutors;(2) The bad social ethos and cultural environment make them suffer unfair treatment easily, do a great harm to their self-esteem, and form the incorrect values, ethics and personality;(3) those of children are tend to be rebellious and form a erroneous outlook on honor, life and world due to lacking of moral education and specialized education;(4) the factor of teenagers themselves such as guilt, resentment, sensitivity, anxiety and low self-confidence and so on.At the same time, the countermeasures are put forward according to the survey:(1) The parents need to educate their children in a more responsible manner, and give children much more care;(2) The school should give children further system education and care;(3) The government shoud improve the relevant auxiliary mechanism and policies.(4) The society should provide a good learning environment for the children in single-parent families. These countermeasures suggestions have a great significance in guiding and promoting the healthy growth of adolescent teenagers in single-parent families, maintaining the social stability and improving harmonious happy families. |
