There was once a saying that youth becomes more attractive with the spark of friendship. From here we can tell that friendship is very important to children during their youth stage. Friendship is a more intimate peer relationship and a two-way emotional connection based on trust. Friendship quality is an important indicator in evaluating the friendship relationship between two people, it has five dimensions,including helping and accompanying, intimate communication, value affirmation, trust and respect, conflict and betrayal. Higher friendship quality is conducive in enhancing general self-efficacy and subjective well-being in a high school student, which leads to a healthier and happier growth.On the basis of literature collection and analysis, this study collected and analyzed surveys from a sample size of 560 high school students from a certain school in Xu Chang. By analyzing the data with the relevant statistical methods, this study discusses the current situation of high school students’ friendship quality and it’s relationship with the general self-efficacy and subjective well-being. The conclusion is as follows:1、In general, high school students’ friendship quality is above the average level, with the highest score on the trust and respect dimension.2、The Overall level of female high school students’ friendship quality and its score on each dimension are significantly higher than high school male students’.3、On grade aspect, there are significant difference on the total score and some dimensions of high school students’ friendship quality. Here as follows: The total score of Senior One students is significantly higher than Senior Two students’; on helping and accompanying friends aspect, Senior One students’ score is significantly higher than Senior Two and senior three students’; on intimate communication aspect, Senior One students’ score is significantly higher than Senior Two students’; on value affirmation aspect, Senior One and senior three students’ score are significantly higher than senior two students’.4、As for the total score of high school students and its each dimension, there is no significant difference between the only- child and non-only-child.5、The friendship quality of high school students has a significant positive prediction to the general self-efficacy and subjective happiness, whereas general self-efficacy plays an partial mediation role between friendship quality and subjective happiness.
