Preposition is an extremely important part of speech of Chinese, which is not only the focal point but also the difficulty one during the process of foreign students learning Chinese. In order to advance the study of foreign Chinese teaching prepositions and to burden the practice and exploration, the author takes the preposition in the HSK vocabulary speech for the study, followed by setting the nationality as “Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand” whose native language or first language is English in the Beijing Language and Culture University “HSK dynamic composition corpus” to collect the error examples. These examples classified into four types of errors are analyze and discussed for the potential reason of students errors. Some teaching suggestions are put forward based on what have talked over above. This paper is mainly divided into three chapters: The first chapter is an introduction part, which mainly discusses the relevant worthies as well as the research of Chinese preposition in the academic history. This section is divided into two smaller portions, the first one is about Chinese preposition research, the second one will focus on how researcher applied the academic achievement into Second language teaching practice and its related papers and treatise.The second chapter is a comparison of English prepositions and Chinese preposition, which including the prepositional object of Chinese and English language,the syntactic positions of Prepositions and prepositional phrases, the ranking problem about different individual preposition, and the Forced and omitted issues of the English prepositions and Chinese prepositions.The third chapter is a detailed analysis of student of English background appears in the use of general Chinese Prepositions. In this section, examples of bias collected are divided into four categories: Omission, addition, false and wrong order, combined with sufficient examples analyzed each type of errors.Finally, given the analysis above, the end of the chapter also attempt to proposal specific suggestion with strengthening the comparison of Prepositions between Chinese and English, paying more attention to the semantics, syntax and pragmatics of Discrimination preposition of Chinese Prepositions, set a variety of specificexercises to reduce the errors and improve the efficiency of their acquisition of English prepositions.
