The main goal that I set out to achieve with this thesis was to offer, to those who read it, a meaningful comparison between the Chinese and Italian grammar.I chose this topic because I think that grammar is the foundation and the basis of every language. Each mistake in grammar can completely change the meaning of a sentence causing deep misunderstandings between those who communicate, misunderstandings that can lead to serious obstacles in a dialogue until even to suggest to one party that the other is in possession of a low cultural level. If we compare Italian language to Chinese language, we realize that the rules in their grammars are many and very complicated, especially with regard to the names and adjectives:but the category by far the most complex in the Chinese language is the one of the conjunctions.Conjunctions in Chinese language are particularly complicated because many of them have a similar meaning but a completely different use, this creates a lot of difficulties in the Chinese students who study this subject. My learning experience made me realize that Italian students have great difficulty in understanding the Chinese conjunctions "zai", "cong" and "January" that are iintroduced in the first year program of study, this and may lead them to begin the study of the Chinese language without a solid grammatical base. For this reason I chose to specifically consider these three conjunctions.First, drawing a comparison between these conjunctions and their use in Italian and Chinese and then analyzing the mistakes that Chinese students commit more frequently in their use and finally analyzing the reasons that bring to these errors. At the end of my thesis I also propose some suggestions to change these errors and help the italian student to improve. This thesis is divided into five chapters. After the first introductory chapter, the second analyzes and compares these three conjunctions in Italian and Chinese, the third examines the errors incurred by the Italian students in the study of these conjunctions and the reasons underlying those errors, in the fourth I offer suggestions to improve the study. The fifth chapter contains the conclusions and bibliography.
