The Perspective Of Intercultural Communication Comparison And Research Of The Spring Festival And Christmas

China has seven traditional festivals, those are "Spring festival (New Year’s Day)," "Tomb-sweeping Day," "Lantern festival," "Dragon Boat festival," the "Double festival," the "Moon festival," and the "Double Ninth festival." The Spring Festival has the largest influence on Chinese among all the festival. In every Spring Festival, People try to go back to their hometown no matter where they are, just for being with their family, they will cook ravioli, and pass the new year together. Christmas in western country is also the biggest celebration. People go to the church for praying, have a Christmas tree, and send gift cards to each other. The environment in the festival is peaceful, people have so many good wished to the future. The article will first prevue of the system on the Spring Festival and Christmas, and then we will start with the origin of the two big festival, make a detailed comparison of the Spring Festival and Christmas again, find the similarities and differences in festival function, cultural connotation of the two traditional festival etc. Focusing on analyzing the reasons of the differences. Finally, we find the dues to differences of two traditional festivals are the different religious beliefs and values.Festival culture is a cultural phenomenon it can reflect the characteristics, the belief, the thinking mode and the value of a nation. Traditional festival is an important part of festival culture it is a treasure that accumulated through the history and culture of a nation. Along the development of the global economy, interculture communication is tending to be more and more important. In the past, people consider they can communicate fluently only by studying foreign language, however, this is not a correct idea. Communication is also related to different cultural background and various value etc. Through in this paper, we will have a deeper understanding to the variation in China and western festival cultures, so that improve the ability of cross-culture communication.Besides,along with that there are frequent contact between western countries and China nowdays,the festival culture in each culture is also making a influence to each other. Many western festivals come in China. More and more Chinese young people celebrate western festival for example, Christmas Day, Valentine’s day,but Traditional festival fading away day after day it makes a great challenge to Chinese about how to inherit the traditional festivals and accept foreign festival.
