With China’s rapid development and the deepening opening up to the outside world, sino-foreign trade is developing as well. Interpretation, however, plays a vital role in international exchange; and consecutive interpreting has been regarded as the favorite interpretation style of interpretation field. Therefore, it’s very important to understand the nature of consecutive interpreting and mastering the practical techniques to solve the problems which occur in the processThis thesis is a report on the Simulation Consecutive Interpreting of TMS Introduction and Medical Machine Training Seminar, and the task was designated by Shenzhen Union Translation Company in August, 2014, which took place in Zhengzhou high-tech development zone. The report is based on the consecutive interpreting practice, and describes the process of doing this translation, and it also points out the problems that had happened during this interpreting process and the methods that solve these matters. This report uses the method of analysis to further explore the difficulties and coping strategies of consecutive interpreting.All in all, this report includes four parts. Firstly, it briefly introduces the interpreting task, including the source of the task, the text and the significance of doing this practice. Secondly, it describes the process. Based on the case for analysis, it analyzes the interpreting translation problems and the coping strategies towards them. And finally, the report summarizes interpreting skills and learning methods in order to help interpreters to improve professional qualities.
