The Report On The Consecutive Interpreting At 2017 China,ASEAN,One Belt And One Road South Asian Countries Seminar Program For Animal Disease Prevention And Control Technology

Along with the 14th session of China-ASEAN Exposition,various training and exchange seminars were organized all over Guangxi.Thanks to the opportunity offered by the teacher and the trust of the Foreign Languages College of Guangxi University,the author assumed the role as an interpreter for the 2017 China,ASEAN,the Belt and One Road South Asian Countries Seminar Program for Animal Disease Prevention and Control Technology(referred to as the Seminar hereinafter)on September 13th and 14th.This was an advanced seminar co-sponsored by Foreign Cooperation Department of Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China,Guangxi Science and Technology Commission,and the Fishery,Animal Husbandry,and Veterinary Bureau of Guangxi,and undertaken by Guangxi Veterinary Research Institute.Based on the analysis of the task,this report is divided into four parts.The first chapter introduces the background information of the Seminar,the task,as well as the reasons of choosing the task as the subject of research.The second chapter centers on describing pre-interpreting preparation,psychological preparation,and on-the-spot preparations.There are two sections in Chapter three.The first section is about the importance of applying the Three "Getting Close to" principles in international publicity translation,as well as establishing a personal translation corpus.Section two describes Dr.Erving Goffman's sociology theories including the Dramaturgical theory and the participation framework as well as their application in determining the interpreter's role.In closing,the author makes a concise conclusion in the enlightenment of this task to daily interpreting training.With further development of the Seminar,the requirement for interpreters will naturally increase.Therefore,the author hopes that the report can provide feasible reference for the people who want to engage in the job.The author also bears the humble idea that this report will help develop international publicity translation and Goffman's sociology theories.
