As time goes and the development of the society, people pay more attention to the demand of sprits and culture and the tourism upsurge is one of this phenomenon’s reflections. When people go out for trip, they experience leisure and recreation but are more eager to experience deep cultural meanings provided by the scenic spots. If we say that culture is the blood line of a nation, the tourism signage and way-finding system is the blood vessel that delivers blood for the scenic spots. The tourism signage and way-finding system, the space guidance which promotes organic connections of the scenic spots, gets a lot of attention for accompanying people during their visiting times.The meaning of the tourism signage and way-finding system design, is to excavate visual form of tourism signage and way-finding system constantly, and to study the elements which are needed by the tourism signage and way-finding system and fitted to the regional culture, then to read and analyze the two sides to combine them organically via creative design techniques. On the one hand, this kind of system design can accomplish in attracting people and their focus to set up scenic spots external visual propaganda image that shows the regional characteristics; can accomplish in interconnection and in exhibiting characteristic culture of scenic spots to show the multi direction interactive experience; to accomplish in complementation so that the regional culture can be protected and inherited. On the other hand, this kind of system design can also solve the problem of tourism visual image design approach homogenization and monotonicity; can solve the problem of interdiscipline and cross-culture media construction and language communication; can solve the problem of design elements creative expression which combines with culture.Consequently, inheriting traditional culture, lighting regional culture, and injecting characteristic culture can create the characteristic point of every place and its competitiveness. Regional characteristic culture has 4 forms, geographic structure, biological morphology, cultural customs and fine art. In the tourism signage and way-finding system, they apply respectively to the functional principle, aesthetic principle, times principle and cultural principle. This thesis will strictly observe the 4 application principals and to create a tourism signage and way-finding system that provides service for scenic spots, whose design is original and unique, that fits the times trend and that meets the inheritance of culture. Filling with regional characteristic culture feature, tourism signage and way-finding system can meet both the visual aesthetic demand and the spiritual culture demand of tourists, can show the unique scenery and features of the scenic spots, can build up a bridge working for inheriting regional culture, can realize the mergence of tourism economy and the scenic spots culture while services the scenic spots.
