Chinese traditional elements is the heritage of Chinese cultural and history which has a profound impact to the generations. Chinese traditional cultural has more and more important impact on western cultural. The traditional design of China has also began to influence the world. With the rapid development of economy, the world has paid more and more attention on Chinese market. The study of Chinese traditional cultural has become a prerequisite for international brand to inter the Chinese market. The international brand in China has reflects the combination of different cultural, combining the elements of traditional Chinese to innovate the brand, to make the products localization, nationalization. At the same time, the international brand has built a cultural bridge between different countries. It not only inputs new fashion elements for the Chinese, but also exports the traditional Chinese elements abroad for widely use. Starbucks in China, has used the Chinese traditional cultural as well as building its own brand. The re-creation and reorganization of the brand has brought a totally new sense to the Chinese.The Chinese traditional culture is profound and exquisite. This paper has been divided into six chapters to introduce the topic of the theme. At the beginning, it summarized the whole thesis, which expresses the innovation of the paper. And then it interpreted the connotation of Chinese traditional elements, analyzed the features of it, summarized from the traditional characteristics of the symbolic, abstract generality and text. It studied the elements of traditional Chinese culture through the auspicious patterns, paper cutting and shadow. And did some further research on the application of traditional Chinese elements in the international brands and local brands. It analyzes the application of traditional Chinese elements in the design of Starbucks through cultural connotation, features and traditional colors. Starbucks has innovated the traditional Chinese elements and modern design to make Starbucks more national and world, to combined the Chinese history culture with the western culture.In the future, hope China can have more of their own brands, create China’s international market, inheritance and innovation the Chinese culture, make the Chinese design broad and profound. Let five thousand years of Chinese cultural to bloom gorgeously in the world, let China go to the world, let the world understand the real "made in china".
