A Translation Project Report Of A Digital Photography

With the demand of the society and people’s aesthetic needs, the development of the photography art is speeding up. At the same time, China’s photography theory is constantly moving forward, and the Western photography journals, papers and books are continually introduced into China. As a consequence, studying of the photography art plays an important role in combining western photography and Chinese traditional art.The source text mainly about the portraits and landscapes shooting techniques, light regulation, close-up shot of the scene, sports and action shooting and wildlife shooting.This journal not only provides a way to get started to an amateur, but also provide valuable advice and guidance for professionals. During the translation process, a lot of specialized words and complicated long sentences have been found in the text, in order to solve these problems, the author firstly analyzed their characteristics, then combined the teleology principle, choose the appropriate translation strategies.This text is divided into four chapters. Chapter One is mainly about the introduction for background and significance of this translation project and the selection of the translation strategies. Chapter two lists the translation processes from three aspects of preparation work, translation procedure and translation revision. Chapter three is the core part of the whole thesis, the author mainly analyzes from the characteristics and translation methods of the jargon and long sentences. The final chapter is the text summary, summing up the experience obtained during the translation and presence deficiencies.This translation project is a beneficial attempt for the author in professional knowledge and practical operation.
