Research On The Evolution Of Jingdezhen Ceramic Industry Space Since 1949

As the capital of China and the world, the ceramic making history of Jingdezhen so far has been more than 2000 years. In the long historical period, Jingdezhen has been surported by the single ceramic industry, so-called "the city’s formation due to ceramic, the city’s naming due to ceramic, the city’s prosperity due to ceramic", although Jingdezhen has introduced the aviation^ the electronics、the automobile industry etc one after another after the founding of the PRC, the ceramic making industry is still the leading industry of Jingdezhen city, and is greatly related to the city of Jingdezhen and the development of the economy. This thesis greatly broadens the perspective of the ceramic industry research previously, sorts out the historical process of the developing and evolving of Jingdezhen ceramic industry after the founding of the PRC from the perspective of space, and tries to excavate deeply the connotation of Jingdezhen ceramic culture from the level of macro region.Firstly, through access to relevant literature, this thesis sorts out the evolving historical process of Jingdezhen urban space from Han Dynasty to the republican period, as historical geography foundation of the following demonstrating; secondly, through access to a large number of historical archives, visiting several government departments and the field surveying, this thesis divides the spatial evolving process of ceramic industry after the year of 1949 into four periods according to the characteristics of Jingdezhen ceramic industry and the urban space in different periods, then discusses the evolving historical process accordingly; thirdly, based on the detailed discussion of the evolving historical process, the internal rules, the influence factors and the driving mechanism of the evolution are being discussed and analyzed deeply through the comprehensive use of the theories and methods of related disciplines such as economic geography, industry archaeology, city planning etc; finally, aiming at the existing problems in the development of Jingdezhen ceramic industry space, this thesis tries to put forward the corresponding thinking, in order to provide reference for government making relevant policies, planning of industry and city development.
