A Research On Interior Design Of The Hospital Based On Environmental Psychology

Human health is not entirely determined by the physiological factors.People’s mental state and environment affects the health. Therefore. the environment is one of the important factors in the process of medical treatment. With new medical model of biology, psychology and sociology, that creating a fine indoor environment of hospital and meeting the patients physiological and psychological needs is the new standard of hospital interior design. The interior design of hospital is not only based on the biology, but also depend on psychology and environment.It can bring a comfortable conditions for patients.This paper is based on the theory of environmental psychology.It extracts theory of environmental psychology that closely related on hospital environment design.The main users of hospital patients, such as patients, family and medical workers, were conducted a questionnaire survey.Then it analyses psychological demands of different of users in hospital, and find out the common problems in the indoor environment of modern hospital.Form the reference of domestic and foreign hospital which have a outstanding indoor environment, it finally put forward the strategy of interior design of hospital based on the perspective of environmental psychology.It mainly includes the optimization of sensory environment, the psychological satisfaction and the improvement of space quality. Based on related theory of environmental psychology, this paper has carried on the preliminary discussion and research to the interior design of hospital.It hope to improve the quality of indoor environment of the hospital, and create a comfortable medical environment for the patients, doctor, attendants and visitors.
