A Translation Report On The Social Enterprise From The Point Of View Of Functional Equivalence Theory

Social Enterprise is organized to write by Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development which is a brief introduction to the development history, management and development prospects of social enterprises in Australia, North America, Asia, Europe and Africa. There is more Economic jargon in language and the style of writing is lucid and logical.From the point view of content, it belongs to economic text. Under the guidance of Nida’s translation theory of functional equivalence, this article analyzed the characteristics of economic texts in vocabulary, syntax and discourse in detail. Meanwhile, combining domesticating translation strategy, to explore translation methods and techniques of economics text.The whole report is divided into four chapters. The first chapter describes the reason choosing this materials and background of the original material. The second chapter introduces the translating process, including the applied theory and characteristics of the economic texts. The third chapter analysis the translation strategy with specific examples. The last chapter summarizes the feelings and experiences in the process of translation from three aspects, such as hardware, software and translation habits of a translator.
