A Translation Project Report On Talking About Hefei Economic Circle (Preface, Chapter 1 And Chapter 7)

This report is composed of two parts, one is translation practice, the other is translation report. There are more than 13,000 words in translation practice, while there are more than 8,000 words in the report. The part of practice consists of the source text and the target text, while translation report is the summary and analysis of difficulties encountered when practicing.In detail, translation report includes three parts. The introduction is in the first chapter, which will explain the preparation before translation, process when translating as well as post-translation. In the second chapter, it is the case study based on fidelity rule. Firstly, the translator divides the translation difficulties into two parts: one is words, the other is long and difficult sentences. Secondly, the translator insists on the purpose that the information in source text should be expressed accurately as well as faithfully, and adopts different translation strategies in order to solve different translation difficulties-①as to words, translator adopts transliteration plus annotation; ②as to poems and Huangmei opera, free translation is used; ③as to long and difficult sentences in the source text, there are several skills are used, such as sequential method, reversed order and division. In the third chapter, the translator has drawn a conclusion after this translation practice and put forward some constructive suggestions for future translation practice.
