With the rapid development of the media activity, people pay more attention to the real-time information and TV interpreting. Based on Dr.Verschueren’s adaptation theory and Daniel Gile’s effort model, this report selects the 86th Oscar Awards video as the simulative simultaneous interpretation practice material and provides a new perspective for interdisciplinary research between media interpreting and pragmatics. In 2003, CCTV Movie Channel launched the live dubbing for the 75th Oscar Awards initially. Except for the 78th Oscars broadcasted with the one-hour delayed simultaneous interpreting, CCTV Movie Channel has rebroadcasted with the 12-hour delayed original sound and Chinese subtitles for 13 times. Obviously, the difficult points in the live show by simultaneous interpreting can be imagined, and this paper mainly focuses on the Oscars live show based on adaptation theory and effort model. This report is divided into five parts:Part one describes the task and the background information; Part two states the process, including the preparation before the interpreting practice, the process of interpreting and the summarizing after interpreting; Part three introduces the theory on adaptation and effort model; Part four focuses on the case study, summarizing the problem type and drawing a general conclusion; Part five summarizes the process and related copping tactics.
