A Study On Thai Local Chinese Teachers’ Classroom Teaching Skills Reflected In Micro-teaching

With the dramatic development in economics, the influence of China is getting stronger than ever that many neighboring countries are fastened to it. There is a Chinese learning mania in Thailand, and it leads to the huge demand of qualified Chinese teachers. Therefore, the present situation of Thai local Chinese teachers’ classroom teaching skills deserve our more attention.The present study aims to have a clear understanding of the current situation of classroom teaching skills of Thai local Chinese teachers. By analyzing the videos and scripts of micro-teaching performed by 16 Thai local Chinese teachers,their strength and weakness of classroom teaching skills have been figured out. Based on the findings, suggestions are provided to the Thai local Chinese teachers to improve their classroom teaching skills and to make their teaching more effective.
