The original text is written by Emily Saxton and other scholars. In 2013 December it published in the Studies in Educational Evaluation in a paper, and on the web site is www.elsevier.com/stueduc. The original text introduces the present situation of America STEM education, describes the importance of STEM education evaluation and expounds the establishment of STEM education evaluation system,which has become a template of informative text for Chinese STEM education study.There has been no Chinese edition so far since its publication in 2013, covering about thirteen thousand words. The author has carried on the translation to the full text under the guidance of the tutor, and has completed the translation report.In the translation report, the author finds out the difficulties during the translation process by analyzing the language characteristics of the target text both from the lexical level and syntactic level. Then the author adopts some typical examples during the process of translation, and explores how to select the translation methods under the guidance of skopos theory. Including the vocabulary, sentence, discourse analysis and how to ensure the accuracy and the fluency of the translation through flexible using of various translation technologies. At last, the author hopes that the analysis and summary of this report can offer some help for the translation of documents of similar types.
