Procrastination is a complicated process include cognitive, behavioral and emotional components. It is a complex psychological and behavioral problems, Procrastination both objective behavior, but also knowing that there will be negative consequences and difficult to follow the wishes of the original non-rational cognition, but also often accompanied by anxiety, depression and other negative emotional experience, and in the long run will serious impact on people’s mental health. Procrastination in this article refers to delays, that is, a deliberate procrastination or postpone actions must be completed job or task. Procrastination is more prevalent in the student population, the school late assault exam, work late, etc. are commonplace thing. Procrastination behavior of college students help guide college students to develop good habits, improve the overall quality of students, improve students’ psychological health. At the same time, the theory and practice of procrastination also will be rich.Though there are many studies on the behavior of college students procrastinate, but most studies have focused on the academic procrastination behavior of college students, and not considering all the procrastination behavior of college students may exist in everyday life phenomenon predecessors do a lot of research on the relationship between parenting styles and procrastination, as well as research studies the relationship between achievement motivation and procrastination, the relationship between parenting styles and achievement motivation, but the parenting styles, achievement motivation and procrastination together the three studies discussed is quite rare. Therefore, this study used a questionnaire for local procrastination, procrastination study of college students’ behavior problems, and further explore the relationship between parenting styles, achievement motivation and procrastination behavior.This study aimed to investigate the characteristics and behavior of college students procrastinate and parenting styles, achievement motivation off department. On the basis of previous studies, we propose their own research ideas and assumptions to 120 students from different grades and gender as the research object, using questionnaires collected school students in procrastination behavior, parenting styles, and other aspects of achievement motivation data, and use the SPSS17.0 statistical software for data analysis systems, discusses the characteristics of college students in parenting styles, achievement motivation and academic aspects of procrastination, and the relationship between the three modes. The main results of this study are as follows:1. Procrastination behavior. Students procrastination exist significant differences in gender, there was no significant difference between the grade,and gender and grade of procrastination interaction was not significant.2. Achievement motivation. Of gender, college students pursuing success motivation and motivation to avoid failure, the presence of a significant difference in achievement motivation while there is no score; grade, the pursuit of success motivation there are significant differences, avoid failure and achievement motivation scores on the difference was not obvious. And gender and grade for the pursuit of success, achievement motivation to avoid failure and the interaction was not significant.3. The terms of parenting styles. Father and mother rearing consistent place, there are different aspects; parenting styles by their living environment, occupation, education level of its impact on children of different gender and parents will lead to different parenting styles.4. The relationship between parenting styles between motivation and achievement. Father’s warmth can significantly predict motivation to succeed his father and mother rejection factor warmth factor significantly predicted achievement motivation scores.Education on the impact of the same gender student achievement motivation is different. Boys ’achievement motivation scores and parental refusal factor as a significant negative correlation with parental warmth factor into a significant positive correlation; girls’ achievement motivation and his father refused to factor into a significant negative correlation with the father’s emotional warmth factor significantly positive correlated with the mother of three factors were not significantly correlated.5. The relationship between parenting styles and procrastination behavior. Mother’s warmth factor significantly predicted less procrastination; a significant predictor of paternal rejection and over protection is more procrastination.The same kind of parenting methods are not the same impact on students of different genders procrastination. Procrastination male and female students have a mother’s emotional warmth factor significantly negative correlation; procrastination boys and their parents refused to factor into a significant positive correlation; procrastination girls is the father of emotional warmth factor into a significant negative correlation with the father over protection factor into a significant positive correlation.6. The relationship between achievement motivation and procrastination. Achievement motivation scores significantly predicted procrastination scores, higher achievement motivation will significantly predicted less procrastination.7. The relationship between college students’ motivation, procrastination behavior and parenting styles(1) Achievement motivation higher, his father refused to treat the child rearing, children will delay behavior;(2) Achievement motivation lower, his father refused to treat the child rearing, child behavior will reduce delays;(3) Achievement motivation higher, emotional warmth of mother to child rearing approach to the child’s behavior will reduce delays;(4) Achievement motivation lower, emotional warmth mothers parenting approach to child, the child may delay.
