On the process of transformation within the family life cycle, the relationship between parents and children is changing gradually. Under the background of Chinese family culture, the function of family system is changing with the growing need of the child and the relationship between parents and children. Therefore, puberty and late adolescent children will bring many influences and changes to the family function. Conversely, the family function will restrict and shape its members’ psychology and behavior. Adolescents and parents must carry out psychological differentiation, in order to face the identity and occupation choice better, and manage their daily life and work. Self-differentiation develops with complete a series of developmental tasks. So mastering family differentiation’s and self-differentiation’s level characteristics, can help the children get rid the role of "infant" in the relationship with parents. Therefore, understanding the Chinese family differentiation’s characteristics, and exploring the operation to improve the level of differentiation, can be targeted to individual or family counseling youth system better.This article based on the related theory at home and aboard, illustrates the status of undergraduate’s self-differentiation and discusses the effects on the corresponding psychology classes. Firstly, the researchers make questionnaire survey in the 78 families.the survey examined the status of middle school students. It realize their level of self-differentiation preliminarily, and summarize the undergraduate’s psychological characteristics that have low level self-differentiation. Then researchers have in-depth interviews to 9 families. Researcher recruited them to the chasses, establishing a psychology class to enhance self-differentiation, finally have statistics analysis the testing scores. At last, we reached the results as follows:(1)DSI-R has a good reliability and validity.(2) The vast majority factors of middle school students’ self-differentiation, development level is not consistent. To Our students in the differentiation of self development the most important question is:parental control desire; a lack of understanding of their development.(3) the changes of parents’ self-differentiation level will not affect middle school students’ self -differentiation level, but will affect some dimension.
