Research On Extraction And Reuse Of The Design Elements Of Jun Porcelain Based On The Sensibility Features

With strengthening of China’s national strength, China’s cultural and creative industries, as an important part of the country’s soft power, have flourished. Because of the government’s supporting on the cultural and creative industries, many of the Chinese traditional cultures start to explore new ways to inherit and develop themselves. As one of the " the Five Famous Kilns " in Song-dynasty, Jun-Kiln and Jun Porcelain are experiencing a new test in recent culture development environment.More than extraction and reuse of three kinds of design elements of Jun Porcelain, color, texture and shape, this study focuses on the sensibility features of Jun Porcelain. Applying many different research methods, such as the literature method, questionnaire, Factor Analysis and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and so on, this study extracts some of the most typical sensibility features of Jun Porcelain and finds out the relationship between the sensibility features and Jun’s design elements. What’s more, this study tries to transfer the sensibility features from Jun Porcelain to some redesigned graphic patterns by using Jun’s design elements across the dimensions. The graphic patterns can be used in different design fields, such as decorative design, interior design, product design, packing design, clothing design and so on, which can be new ways to inherit and develop the culture of Jun Porcelain and other Chinese traditional cultures.
