Objective: Happiness is the lifetime pursuit for all of us,and its standing point and destiny are people. As we all know,police is a special career group. With the aggravation of comprehensive management of social order and the increasing of working pressure, the happiness of police has been increasingly challenged. For the grass-roots police on the front lines,the happiness is far from them. The nature of their special work brings some work family conflicts that should not be ignored.Because work family conflict and subjective well-being are more closely connected in daily life, we think that it is necessary to research them. Moreover, for the purpose of exploring the pathways of mitigating negative influence caused by work family conflict so as to increase subjective well-being, we take the social support as the moderator variable in this paper.Methods:Selecting grassroots samples of 286 from various public security departments in Hunan Changsha and using the Work Family Conflict Scale, Social Support Scale, Subjective well-being Scale as the investigative tools.Results:Subjective well-being is in the moderate degrees,work-family conflict is little serious and the grass-rootspolice have some social supports. There are significantly negative correlation between subjective well-being and work family conflict. There are significantly positive correlation between social support and subjective well-being. Social support can work as moderator between work family conflict and subjective well-being.Conclusion: Work family conflict can negatively predict the subjective well-being of Changsha grass-roots police,and social support help offset some conflicts between work family conflict and subjective well-being.
