Job burnout had been a focus in the job/work stress study. It is reported that civil servant was one of the high proportion colonies of job burnout. With the speeding up of the globalization of world economy, rapid developmentof technology, our job stress has been becoming bigger and bigger as well as job burnout, and the job burnout problem has been paying more and more focus and discussion. For the professional features of many psychological stressors and strong job stress etc., job burnout problem of civil servant has been becoming a major concern. Job burnout has not only to impact on the individual physical and psychological health of civil servant, but also to impact on the performance of the governmet, even to have a bad effect on the social stability and national security, thus job burnout problem can not be more neglected.So deep studying on the current state and root of Kunming civil servant job burnout, and seeking an effective way to relieve job burnout is significant. This paper aims to learn the state of work-family conflict, social support and job burnout of Kuming civil servant, seek the correlation between work-family conflict and job burnout and verify the buffering effect of social support against job burnout. The following is the detailed research thoughts:Firstly, based on the theoretical principle from the relative documentation on job burnout, work-family conflict and social support etc, combined with the true practice of Kuming civil servant, this paper proposes the mental model and the problem to be solved; secondly, adopting the methods of the combination of theory with practice and the combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis, the author fully knows the job burnout, work-family conflict and social support condition through the ways of interviewing and questionnaire survey and so on, and discover the buffering effect of "social support" as the buffer variable between " work-family conflict" and "job burnout".The main discussions are gotten from the study as followed:(1) Job burnout level of Kuming civil servant is in the middle age as a whole, among of them, the highest is the emotional exhaustion degree, next to dehumanization degree, third to reduction degree of personal achievement sense.(2) It is a notable positive correlation between work-family conflict and job burnout of Kuming civil servant. Meanwhile, work-family conflict (some dimensions) of Kuming civil servant has effect for the generation of job burnout (some dimensions).(3) Social support (some dimensions) plays a notable role of negative weakening buffering effect between job stress (some dimensions) of Kuming civil servant and job burnout (some dimensions).Finally, according to the conclusion above, we put forward that the organization and the individual should strive together to reduce the negative influence of job burnout.
