imperial edicts, a formal or authoritative proclamation,convey orders for emperor,which originated in a high official ancient China, Shangshu.The edicts had been named in Qin Dynasty, then formed its cultural system in Western Han and Eastern Han Dynasties.The edicts have been regarded as specialized literary form of those ancient books,“Duduan”, ”Wenxindiaolong”, ”Wenzhangqiyuan”,with rich contents,graceful language,unique style in Western Han and Eastern Han Dynasties.litterateur consider it was blooming in the whole history of literature.the paper focuses on the stage and classification research of those edicts,about 500 texts, divided into five part.Prolegomena simply describes the concept Researchingobject,actuality and sense.Chapter one,the author discusses the different tone in different time,with content and history background. Those texts show its features form plain to charming and graceful writing,in the later period, turn into the style of Jian’an literature.Chapter two,the author comprehensive analyzes the relation between edicts and imperial power, and peoples’ livelihood,and diplomacy.Chapter three,the author discussed ideologies of the ethics morals,Heaven-Human Induction, people-basedthought in Confucian value system, which very vivid and popular in human,and guide people’s activity and social morality.Chapter four, presents elegant and graceful,emotional and effective literary value, and stylistic structure.
