There is an essential difference between productive protection and industrialization in Chinese Traditional Embroidery. In productive protection aspect, it could pay more attention on’manual operation’,’nature of embroidery’,’preserved core technique’. Traditional handicraft art exists between culture and economy. Guangdong Embroidery "DESHUN GONGYI"、Suzhou embroidery "DU XIUZHUANG"、Qiang ethnic minority embroidery "YIZHEN YIXIA" are three important traditional embroidery brands and they adopt different manufacturing methods. They also present three different production effects, including embroideries in aesthetic nature, embroideries combining art with craftwork, embroideries in economical property, because of diverse cultural backgrounds, applications and positions. No matter which manufacturing methods used, their goals are preserving and carrying forward traditional embroidery culture and guaranteeing handicraft workers’benefits.In intangible cultural heritage preservation, productive protection has been in experimentation and exploration process. Different methods have similarities and varieties. Meanwhile, it also exists many problems. This essay will aim at these problems to discuss how to preserve and carry forward traditional crafts effectively.
