Chinese character teaching is an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,but its emphasis is far less than that of vocabulary and grammar teaching,and the research results on external Chinese character teaching methods are rare.However,as a difficult point in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,the development of Chinese character teaching has also profoundly affected the development of the entire teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.Therefore,it is very necessary to study the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.The first chapter of this article is based on the research results of the predecessors,and compares several current Chinese character teaching methods to find out the advantages and disadvantages and the principles of application.The second chapter,starting from the two perspectives of foreign Chinese teachers and foreign students at the beginning stage,investigates the teaching and learning of Chinese characters at the primary stage of Heilongjiang University in the form of questionnaires.The third chapter analyzes the application of the Chinese character teaching method for foreign students at the primary stage of Heilongjiang University,and finds out the advantages and disadvantages of the current Chinese character teaching.The fourth chapter is to address the deficiencies in the application of the Chinese character teaching method,and proposes three teaching suggestions that closely link the relationship between the shape and meaning of Chinese characters,multiple Chinese character teaching methods,and the use of advanced Chinese character teaching methods.
