Whether vocabulary teaching in classroom is successful or not,which will directly affects the level that the learners use Chinese to communicate with other people and its importance determines Scholars will attach great importance to the research of the related aspects.The teaching material is the basis of the teaching activities of the teachers in the teaching activities. A set of teaching materials quality is good or bad, to a certain extent, it will affect the students’ learning. In view of the importance of vocabulary and teaching materials in the classroom teaching, the arrangement of new words in the textbooks is reasonable and scientific or not, which will have a direct impact on the overall quality and level of the teaching materials.Doing some investigations and analysis on vocabulary compilation and finding the advantages and disadvantages in New practical Chinese Reader,which as a member in the distinctive materials in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,can provide some reference resources for textbook writers and teachers.Through the relevant investigation and analysis on the vocabulary of primary textbooks in New Practical Chinese Reader, try to find the problems in the compilation of the set of textbooks.In the process of investigation and analysis,using Chinese vocabulary and Chinese characters Syllabus as a basis for the study was carried out by statistics and comprehensive analysis methods of vocabulary part of this set of textbooks, respectively from the new vocabulary statistics, vocabulary level of the selection and interpretation of new words and part of speech of words for such a proportion of the point of view of investigation and analysis.On the basis of the investigations and analysis,to find the problems of vocabulary compilation and combine with the relevant vocabulary problems of vocabulary questionnaire, put forward the corresponding suggestions.
