Chinese character learning is an important part of learning Chinese as a foreign language, and it is also an important part to measure the level of knowledge of Chinese language learners. As the ideographic characters, Chinese character has a close relationship with Chinese, when we are in the process of inspection and study of Chinese characters,we need to begin from the pronunciation,font and meaning, of which the shape is part of the core, which is directly related to the meaning. Through the analysis of 322 words in Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Course, we divided them into pictogram,Self-explanatory characters, associative characters and phonogram, and from analyzing the original meaning or extended meaning and borrowed meaning, we put forward some teaching suggestions.The main parts of this paper are as follows:The first part discusses the significance of the topic, literature review, as well as the research object and research methods of this paper.The second part is according to "Source", "Shuowen Jiezi" and other tools for the Developing Chinese Advanced Comprehensive Course, analyzing 287 vocabularies,finding out the vocabulary meaning.The third part is to analysis the original meaning or extended meaning and borrowed meaning with the book.Through four parts of the discussion can clearly see far more than the textbooks in phonogram characters, and the use of extended meaning or borrowed meaning of words rather than using the original meaning of the word. In the actual teaching activities,teachers can according to the actual situation to change teaching strategies, improving the learning efficiency of foreign students...
