| As an amateur piano grade assessment activity, the piano grading test has been rapidly expanded from the metropolis like Guangzhou and Shanghai to other big cities and even all parts of the country. The piano grading test has not only directed and normalized amateur piano education, but also has inspired and driven the great development of piano culture industries. Since Shanghai has officially launched the piano grading test in 1988, more than one million candidates have participated in this test by now. As the education mode is tending to diversified development, the piano grading test has become an important part of China social music education and the beneficial supplement and extension of school music education.Taking Shanghai piano grading tests as the example, this paper depicted the objective and significance of social music education. In the introduction, the purpose and significance of this topic, domestic and foreign research status and scope, and the main ideas and methods of this research are discussed. The first chapter expounds the current situation and research scope of Shanghai piano grading test, and summarizes the development situation of the existing five kinds of piano grading tests in Shanghai in recent ten years. The second chapter mainly discusses the piano grading test in terms of musical ability training, and detailed comparative analysis is made on the content settings of Shanghai piano grading tests. Through the comparison of domestic and foreign piano grading tests, their knowledge structure construction methods and teaching concepts are also compared. The third chapter focuses on the talent training beyond the piano grading test, which is the core part of this paper, for it upgrades the objective of the piano grading test from the original musical ability training to the comprehensive ability training. In this chapter, in addition to the integration of cultural art and the commerce, further analysis is made on the similarities and differences in the training objectives. The results of questionnaire survey and the interview on the participants in the piano grading tests are also adopted as the grounds of the argument. In the conclusion, the positive significance and the existing problems of the piano grading test are discussed from the perspective of social music education, thus to provoke in-depth thinking about the objective and the significance of social music education from the perspective of Shanghai piano grading test. |
