As a report on interpreting practice, it describes a consecutive interpreting task conducted by the writer and analyzes the writer’s quality of interpreting of interpreting activities.Based on the consecutive interpreting practice of interview with the American English teaching expert, the writer decides to reflect on the quality of the practice from the perspective of cultural differences. This report includes the following four parts. Chapter One summarizes the general information of this task and related background of the practice. Chapter Two analyzes some specific cases on the causes of information loss from the perspective of cultural differences. Chapter Three discusses the effective coping strategies in dealing with information loss in consecutive interpreting. The last chapter is a conclusion.The writer sincerely hopes that through the report, the shortcomings in the interpreting progress can be concluded and be reduced in the following interpreting activities. In the meanwhile the report can serve as reference for others.
