Research Into Marked Hypothesis Compound Sentences In Modern Chinese

Hypothesis compound sentence is an important category of Chinese compound sentences system,which is uesd to express the speaker’s some assumptions.So far,the studies of the hypoyhesis compound sentence in contemporary Chinese have deeply developed, but the dynastic study is still slightly lacking,especially in modern Chinese.Therefore,describing and analyzing the hypothesis compound sentences in modern Chinese can provide some fundamental achievements for the diachronic study in hypothesis compound sentence.This thesis will take representative corpus of modern Chinese as the investigation object,and widelly collect cases of marked hypothesis compound sentences. At the same time, the thesis will refer to theoretical results of contemporary Chinese compound sentences research and focus on description and analysis to conclude the characteristics of marked hypothesis compound sentences in modern Chinese in respects of form,semanteme and pragmatics.The introduction defines the modern Chniese and the marked hypothesis compund sentences.Based on an overview of the studies in hypothesis compund sentences, we put forward our research ideas and methods of this thesis.In the body of this thesis, the marked hypothesis compund sentences will be divided into onsistent hypothetical compound sentence and concessive hypothetical compound sentence according to the differences in hypothesis relationship.In order to show the general picture of the hypothetical complex sentences in modern Chinese,we have a detailed description of them.Afterwards,by using the knowledge of logic and pragmatics,the characteristics and types in semantic and pragmatic functions of marked hypothesis compund sentences in modern Chinese will be analyzed and concluded.The conclusion of this thesis is that, the grammatical form,semantics and pragmatic of marked hypothesis compund sentences in modern Chinese have developed gradually maturing,and have laid the important foundation for hypothesis compund sentences in contemporary Chinese.
