Along with the popularization of the network, the new Internet words work as the carriers of network language and internet culture, has been developed greatly in recent years. The influence of the new internet words on interpersonal communication also started to infiltrate the netizens’daily life. Vocabulary teaching always has been an important part of the Teaching of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL). The new Internet words work as the liveliest part of vocabulary, in TCFL, it is of great importance to appropriately introduce them in the Chinese language teaching. Therefore, the new Internet words should not be avoided in TCFL.Combined with the practice of Chinese language teaching in Confucius Institute at Prince of Songkla University, this paper analyzes the Chinese language learners’acceptance of new Internet words in Thailand. In addition, it discusses how to introduce the new internet words effectively in TCFL, which helps the development of teaching. It also considers the problems in the introduction process and puts forward the corresponding suggestion. Combined with the survey data analysis of introducing the new internet words of TCFL in Thailand, this paper discusses the teaching effect of introducing the new Internet words in different degrees of TCFL from the perspective of Chinese language learners. This paper aims to improve learners’interest in learning Chinese and enhance their social confidence, also open a new window to understand Chinese culture for them, which help them to integrate into society better and faster.The innovation of this paper is the survey data analysis is based on the study of introducing the new Internet words of TCFL in Thailand, combined with author’s teaching practice in introducing the new Internet words of TCFL, and discusses the principle that teachers should follow in introducing the new Internet words in TCFL. There are three aspects in this paper, respectively elaborating the word selecting, applicable objects and applicable lesson type. Based on the demand of teaching, there are still some problems in the process of introducing new Internet words into Chinese language class. According to the causes of formation for these problems, this paper will combine the teaching experience of the author in Thailand and put forward some solutions for later reference. In conclusion, a hypothesis was put forward:the introduction of the new Internet words teaching in TCFL classroom helps student to understand teaching contents and improve the effectiveness of teaching.
