A Study On Children’s Literature Translation And Its Influence Of Literary Research Society

As a famous literary society of modern china, the literary achievements of Literary Research Society have important significance to the development of Chinese modern Children’s Literature. It has always been the academic field to attach importance to the literary and artistic ideas, literary activities and members’ creation, focusing on the adult literature.Recent years, along with the Children’s literature in the cultural context of the rapid development, many scholars began to focus on literature research achievements in the field of Children’s Literature, especially in the translation of foreign Children’s Literature. This paper attempts to use historical data, returning to the historical scene, based on the context of "Western learning" at the beginning of twentieth century, collecting the achievements of Children’s Literature translation, from the writer’s works, the writing background, the contemporary writers’ works of the control data, related evaluation and research works, to supplement and restore the historical track of Chinese modern Children’s Literature, to further study the interactive effects of Children’s Literature translation on creation and theory construction.To explore the translation of Children’s Literature in the unique contributions of "May 4th" New Literature in the Thought Enlightenment and new literature creation practice.The dissertation is divided into three chapters. The first chapter explores the historical roots of Literary Research Society actively translating foreign Children’s literature, discussing from the two aspects of cultural heritage of "May 4th" New Literature in the Thought Enlightenment and the purpose of “literature for life”. This paper systematically summarizes the research achievements of Children’s Literature translation. Not only provide the translations of the world classic works of Children’s Literature for the chinese children, but also further promote the prosperity and development of Children’s Newspaper and books, the promotion of the Vernacular, flexibility in the use of the translation strategies of "faithfulness,expressiveness and elegance". The second chapter deals with Literary Research Society’s translations of Children’s Literature on the creation, stimulating Literary Research Society’s writers to create Children’s Literature, inspired the optional style of Children’s Literature.Contrasting translations over the Western Children’s Literature themes,they develop new themes which are integrated into the realistic context of China, mainly reshaping the natural theme of national character, pursuiting of the beauty of innocence theme and criticizing the reality of children wandering theme. Specific to the stage of creation, Literary Research Society fully draw on Western Children’s literature to explore the unique creative vision focus mode, variations and concise style of realism. The third chapter discusses Literary Research Society in the process of construction of translation theory, focusing on the analysis of the influence from the translation of Children’s Literature on the construction of the theory, to evaluate the value of "the discovery of child" and the national consciousness of Enlightenment era, and to reveal the deep implication of modern Children’s Literature view of Literary Research Society.
