Internet addiction is a hot research field of adolescent’s psychological and social development. Therefore, the research use cognitive behavioral model of Davis (2001) as a framework, both from home and abroad to study the effects of psychological maltreatment of rural left behind middle school students with internet addiction behavior, and also use an inner variable——self control, to explore the role between psychological maltreatment and Internet addiction. In order to discuss its development, we use the method of longitudinal study, and further discuss the relationship between variables.Research in a rural middle school in Hunan Province, use 371 students from junior 1 to 3 as subjects, Adolescent Pathological Internet Scale, Children Psychological Maltreatment Scale and Self Control Scale were used to survey and after 6 months were the second survey. Specific research results are as follows:Study 1:(1) Internet addiction in gender and grade exist significant differences; (2) In the age factor has significant difference in psychological maltreatment.Study 2:(1) the psychological maltreatment scores and Internet addiction scores exist significant positive correlation; (2) psychological maltreatment intimidation and interference factors on Internet addiction scores have significant positive predictive effect; (3) network addiction group psychological maltreatment score was significantly lower than that of addiction and the edge of the groupStudy 3:(1) rural left behind middle school students self control score and the score of Internet addiction exist significant positive correlation; (2) self control impulse risk factor and simplification tendency of Internet addiction scores have significant positive predictive effect to Internet addiction; (3) Internet addiction normal group in self control score was significantly lower than that of Internet addiction and the edge of the group.Study 4:(1) there is a significant correlation between psychological maltreatment, self control and Internet addiction; (2) self control plays a partial mediating role between psychological maltreatment and addiction.Study 5:After a lapse of six months there was a re surveying, the results show:(1) the second measurements show that the Internet addiction score still has significant difference in gender and grade, the same with the first measurement results; (2) the second measurement variables were significantly higher than those of the first measurement score; (3) boys and girls in the second times on the measurement of psychological maltreatment scores were significantly higher than the first measurement, when it comes to self control and Internet addiction score, only the boys have significant differences at two measurements; (4) in junior two and junior three, the second psychological maltreatment scores were significantly higher than the first measurement, the second self control survey score of the junior 2 significantly higher than the first, the second Internet addiction scores of junior 3 significantly higher than the first; (5) as control the first measurement of Internet addiction, sex and grade, the first measurement of the psychological maltreatment has no significant predictive effect on Secondary measurement of Internet addiction, the first measurements of self control has no long-term intermediary role (6) as control the first measurement of Internet addiction, sex and grade, the second measurement of psychological maltreatment has significant predictive effect on Internet addiction, the self control plays a partial intermediary role between psychological maltreatment and addiction. Conclusion:the child psychological maltreatment can directly predict internet addiction disorder of rural left behind middle school students, also can through the mediating role of self-control to impact internet addiction of rural left behind middle school students. Tracking Study showed that, psychological maltreatment are not in a long time prediction function and the long-term intermediary role of self control is not significant, but even after controlling for the effects of pre Internet addiction, psychological maltreatment predictive effect on Internet addiction is still significant and self control intermediary role between psychological maltreatment and addiction is very strong.
