Demos is one of the most influential domestic think tanks in England, whose members launch researches all around the world. The source text of this report, which is published by Demos carries out full analyses on Britishteenagers from different aspects, shows the true appearance of the generation citizen by combining the attitudes of teachers and teenagers themselves. Teenagers are the future and hope of a country, and there is no time to delay focusing on the physical and mental development of teenagers. The translation of this research report serves to show Chinese teenagers the British teenagers’ life attitude,and their opinions about politics, economy and culture of the so as to help provide better conditions for the physical and mental development of Chinese teenagers. This translation report aims to give an account of the implementation of the translation project ranging from selection of the source text, understanding of the source text, registration the genre, techniques and skills adopted, theories and guidance applied and other aspects related to the project. The report consists of three parts and one conclusion. The first part introduces the origin and content of the source text. The second part analyzes the details of the source text as the initial preparation for the project. The third part lists some cases that examine how translation theories function to guide the project through to its completion and how difficult sentences are dealt with by using methods such as domestication and foreignization. The conclusion sums up the translation project in whole, referring to problems that have not been properly addressed and sharing the gains that have been acquired in the course of the project accomplished.
