A Report On The Simulation Consecutive Interpretation Of The Second World Rubber In Focus-Silk Road Cooperation Dialogue

As China is playing an increasingly important role in thriving rubber industry and in the world arena as a whole, more and more foreign companies want to cooperate with China in rubber industry. Against this backdrop, the interpretation concerning rubber business is of great importance. The Second World Rubber in Focus—Silk Road Cooperation Dialogue was held in Qingdao International Convention Center from Oct.14- 16, 2015, in which the author attended the forum as an intern interpreter. After that, the author conducted an interpreting practice in form of a simulation conference based on this forum. The report describes the whole process of this practice, including the introduction to the background of the report, the interpreting of speeches and a review of the practice. What’s more, the author also gives a comprehensive analysis of the questions that emerged in this interpreting practice and explores ways to solve these problems, so as to improve the interpreting skills and proficiency of the author.The interpreting simulation has strengthened the author’s understanding of interpretation. During the process of interpreting, interpreter will be challenged in many ways. Therefore, the author will work to improve language proficiency, develop the ability of quick thinking and reaction, so that the author would be well prepared to the questions that may rise in the interpretation. Besides, the author should also keep the pace with time, get to know the hot spot issues and policies and build up a system of encyclopedic knowledge.
