The concept of truth is always an important topic of documentary research, concept of truth does not stop transform with the dispute, the transformation deeply influenced on the creation and practice of documentary. Documentary Hexi Corridor has absorbed experience, this film take the large number of fictitious expressions such as the actor paraded historical figures and applying background to reproduce the historical scene. there is the main or prior problem was focused in this study that the contradictions and conflicts between "the fictional expression" and "historical performance of true purpose".This study uses the text analysis method to research the history and video expression of Hexi Corridor, and focus on the reality and performance, intending to discuss the history of documentary.This research is divided into five chapters. The first chapter from the "real", combing the transformation of concept of truth in documentary history, clarifying the "truth in philosophy" and "truth in art". Chapter 2 makes research on the contradiction and conflict between historical reality and record real, analyzed the "real" creation. Chapter 3 focus on the historical narrative of Hexi Corridor by the measure of analysis text, from the narrative perspective and the narrative structure of Hexi Corridor, analyzing the documentary is how to find a balance between historical truth and the smooth narrative.
